Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Your Home Project Repair

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing depends on the type of roofing system you would like to install. Insurance companies are now giving discounts for installing Impact Resistant shingles, saving you big on your homeowners' insurance premiums.

There are also other factors such as steepness, size, metal installation, and skylight installation that affect the project's price. I am happy to provide customers with a free quote to see an honest price in what it will cost to have a quality project completed.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically like to meet the homeowner and see what they would like for their project. That way, I can determine what they need from their project. Then I measure the required area and describe the process and timeline needed for the project.

I am happy to answer any questions, and I will stay in contact the whole way. I am also the project manager, so that you will see ME on the job, not another new face. After the project is complete, I will meet with the customer to make sure the job is clean and that the client and I are both happy with the project.

  • What education and/or training do you have related to your work?

I love staying in touch with new technologies of roofing and ventilation. There have been MANY advancements in ventilation and asphalt shingle production that I find fascinating.

I go to ventilation seminars twice a year to stay updated on new products that can save the homeowners money and extend the life of the installed roof systems.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was 16, I started construction here in Omaha for summer work. I enjoyed the outside and working with my hands. I originally started working in flat concrete work but also got involved with roofing repairs when it was too wet for concrete work.

I was recruited by a local roofing contractor for a full-time sales/ repair person position seven years ago. I enjoyed the work very much, and I learned a lot while there.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of customers. I enjoy working with homeowners, and I also work with a few real estate agents and their needs.

I am also an insurance claim specialist. I am happy to help people step by step through an insurance claim process and make sure my clients get the most from their claims.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently was involved with a customer who was in Bellevue, Ne. He was concerned with the decking that he had. I could tell that a lot of the decking was compromised and that we would have to replace a lot of plywood during the process.

The homeowner was interested in re-decking the whole house, which we accomplished with my crew. We tore off the existing roofing system, removed all the plywood, and installed all new 1/2" OSB plywood on the entire roof deck, eliminating his decking issues.

We installed a Class 4 Impact Resistant shingle that saved him money on his monthly premiums and upgraded his ventilation. The project turned out great!!! It was completed in two days with good weather, and new 5" gutters were installed the following week in one day.
